About Hofer Darts
Who we are
Hi, I'm Lukas, the founder of Hofer Darts. We are a small shop from Austria and we specialize in one thing: dartboards that keep score automatically.
Why Hofer Darts exists
I enjoy playing darts myself, but one thing always annoyed me: keeping score. So I looked for a solution and basically found two options. Either spend a lot of money on a ready-made system or hunt down all the individual components yourself and then have to program it too.
Thanks to my technical background, I decided to build it myself. And once it was running, I asked myself: Why aren't there simple ready-made kits with a Raspberry Pi that you just need to plug in and set up?
That became my mission: an affordable complete set that lets you get started immediately.
What we do differently
Autodarts is a proven technology, but the setup process puts many people off. That's why we deliver our complete sets with the camera system and Raspberry Pi already configured. You don't need an extra PC or any technical skills, just a few minutes for assembly.
And another advantage: the Raspberry Pi runs on your network, so you can access it from any device on the same Wi-Fi, whether it's a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop.
